New branch in Spain: IGES Pharma now with locations in eight European countries

Berlin, April 10, 2025 – The IGES Group is further expanding its presence in Europe by opening a branch in Spain. Since March 2025, the new office in Barcelona has been offering strategic and market access consulting services for developers and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals with a focus on the Spanish market and Portugal. IGES Italy Pharma Consulting was only founded at the start of the year.

The IGES Group now has a service network for clients in the life sciences sector that spans eight countries with its own locations in Europe. Under the umbrella of IGES Pharma, it provides market launch and reimbursement support for novel pharmaceutical developments in Europe.

The Director of the IGES Group, Professor Dr Bertram Häussler, commented: "As a strategic partner with branches or subsidiaries in eight European countries, we cover the entire spectrum of market access consulting – from initial strategy development to the complete roll-out of a product launch. The Spanish branch is run by the general manager, Chus Castillo Gutierrez, who previously held senior positions in market access consulting for international pharmaceutical, medtech and biotech companies with the consulting firm Alira Health. He also has extensive experience working in companies in the biopharmaceutical sector in management committee positions such as Amgen, Viatris or Roche. He is a qualified biologist and pharmacist and has extensive knowledge in the field of early market access and the lifecycle management of innovations.
